CENTIPEDE SOD
Centipede sod has been described as "lazy man's grass" because of its low maintenance requirements. It is a medium-textured, medium-green sod with leaf blades that are commonly 2-4 mm wide. Centipede sod can handle some shade but really thrives in full sunlight. It’s also one of the most economical choices.
*** To help your centipede sod thrive, we recommend annual applications of nitrogen in the spring and fall. The amount that we suggest is 1 pound per 1000 sf (like an 8-8-8 or 10-10-10), and we recommend a mowing height of ¾ to 2 inches.
PALMETTO ST. AUGUSTINE SOD
This sod has a beautiful, dark green color with a texture that is softer than other St. Augustine varieties. It adapts well to shaded areas, has excellent fall color retention, an early spring green up (if dormant), and a leaf blade width of 8-9 mm.
We suggest that you fertilize in the spring with a time released 16-4-8. If fertilization is needed in the summer and fall, we recommend a time released 10-10-10 and 8-8-8. We also suggest a mowing height of 2" - 2½".
EMPIRE ZOYSIA SOD
This sod has an eye-catching dark green color; a luxurious, soft-to-touch, tight blade; and a growth of 5-7mm. It has a massive root system that runs deep and sustains the grass through periods of heavy drought, heavy use, and harsh conditions, all while providing rapid injury recovery.
Help your Empire Zoysia sod to thrive by fertilizing in the spring and summer with a time released 16-4-8. In the fall and winter, balance 10-10-10. A mowing height of ¾" - 2" is recommended.
BAHIA SOD
This sod is used for commercial use, such as on the roadside and holding ponds to prevent erosion. It comes in 30 in. x 110 ft. rolls.
COMMERCIAL HYDROSEEDING
Hydroseeding is used commercially for erosion control. It is distributed with a water spray of seed and mulch tack.
